Every life is a miracle. Every breath, movement, smile and thought is a continuation of the same. Having a family is a miracle. Finding a friend is a miracle. Finding a spouse is a miracle. Every moment, laugh, exchange, experience together is a continuation of the same.
Why wait until extremes of severity remind us, to celebrate these miracles? Why wait until sickness makes each breath a chore; distance each meeting an undertaking, familiarity each hello an afterthought?
When we become complacent with miracles in our life, settling into the plateau of entitlement, we open ourselves up to loss, stagnation.
Some see this as a reminder to refresh and right our course. Others mistake it as an indication the miracle has faded, dulled.
Lets honor the miracles big and small in our lives by finding new ways to cherish, relish, nurture them constantly instead of doing a jump start when they begin to wither and fade.
